What method do you use to preserve my flowers?
We use a commercial grade freeze-dryer to preserve your flowers. This process has been proven to be the most technologically advanced way to preserve the color and shape of fresh flowers.
What are the steps involved in the preservation process?
Our preservation process is quite involved. Upon receipt, we immediately photograph and measure your bouquet and carefully log the number and types of flowers and foliage. Any ribbon or embellishments are carefully catalogued and placed in storage for use in the final display. Next we take the bouquet apart and re-hydrate the flowers. We then use a variety of pre-treatments specially designed to aid in color retention and shatter-proofing. The flowers are individually placed in the freeze dryer for up to two weeks. Once your bouquet is dry, each bloom is very carefully post-treated with a clear, UV blocking solution and color enhancement agents. Finally, your bouquet is re-created in the display type of your choice.
How long does the entire process take?
Ideally we like to have your display to you within 12 to 16 weeks. However, depending upon how busy we are, it could take up to 6 months. Our process is very involved and tedious and we need to take as much time as necessary to make sure that you receive the best product we can deliver. We promise to do everything we can to get your flowers back to you as quickly as possible.
How do I get my flowers to you?
We have drop off locations in Broomfield and Parker. We also offer pick-up service within a 25 mile radius of Denver for $100. Don’t forget to drop your wedding gown off along with your bouquet! You can get both items preserved at the same time! Please be sure to call us to schedule an appointment for pick-up or drop-off. We have limited space in our freezers, so it is best to call ahead to reserve your space!
How quickly do I need to get my flowers to you?
For best results, we need your bouquet within 24-48 hours after your event. During that time, please keep the flowers hydrated and in a cool location.
Can I still get my flowers preserved if my event is out of town?
Yes! We can give you directions on how to safely ship your flowers directly to us. Give us a call!
Can you preserve all types of flowers?
Unfortunately there are a few types of flowers that are really difficult to preserve. We cannot preserve Bouvardia, Shasta daisies (Gerbera daisies do just fine) and alstromeria.
Do the flowers change color?
Sometimes color may change slightly. Whites may become more ivory and dark reds may deepen. Deep pinks often turn more purple after the drying process.
